I become a mom 5 years ago and like any new mom, you start looking at unique ideas to make holidays or occasion specials. Then as the kids start to get older you start looking for ideas to keep them busy, presents for grandparents and family, then move to make crafts for holidays.
One favourite is wax paper stained glass. It’s simple and the kids get to show off their creativity while enjoying a little bit of mess. It’s great cause you can use any holiday or occasion to create a project.
Last year the kids did this Easter creation that we placed on our patio door for the Easter Bunny to see when they visited.
The craft’s that we have done so far have been a learning experience for both the kids and me. I overthought some and others looked fun but were a little too advanced or time-consuming for my little ones. I find crafts that are around 15- 20minutes are perfect for toddlers (2-4).
All time favourites of my kids are play dough and salt dough. They love the mess it causes (mom not so much) and allows the creativity to flow.
