Sabrina’s Journal-knitting and crafting through life

I’m Sabrina, mother of 3 adorable children and wife to a very patient husband. Founder of Sabrina’s Journal.

You can find me either seating at the kitchen table for craft time or outside when the weather is nice. My office these days is either the corner of our sectional or the master bedroom and not far is a mug of green tea getting cold.

I decided to start Sabrina’s Journal as a way to make a second income. I have been fortunate to be able to a stay-at-home mom for the last 5 years and have enjoyed it. 2020 has taught me that absolutely nothing is a guarantee anymore. Our normal is gone and we need to adapt to what a new normal will be.

I’m hoping this blog will help and inspire those that need it in our crazy world. I will be sharing craft ideas I do with my kids, along with my interest of knitting.

Blog

Born in the winter of 1987 as a twin, I grew up on a farm in small town Alberta, Canada.  I am the oldest daughter with two younger sisters and an older brother.  The fun we had growing up was awesome, although I’m sure my parents would disagree. All those grey hairs and worry lines we caused in the younger years.

It’s where I learned the circle of life, the love of animals, and what hard work looked like.

Kids Crafts

I enjoy quick crafts the less time for a big mess the better while letting the creative flow.

Anyone with kids knows how quickly a simple task can get out of hand, especially when you’re outnumbered.

Knitting

Both my Grandma’s knitted. One knitted me scarf and torque set while the other knitted my favourite comfort blanket, I still use it to this day.

I have knitted a few baby blankets for my niece and nephew along with friends who have had little ones. Strangely enough, my kids are stilling waiting for their blankets.
